AVALON HOTEL, Gothenburg – A Smart Stay in the City

I had such a cool and nice stay at this hotel, perfect for a special weekend. The room with large windows and a terrace was fantastic, ideal for sitting and working while enjoying the view. However, the price can almost double during busy times like when there's a concert in town.

This hotel was a fantastic find in Göteborg! The rooms were stylish and comfortable, perfect for one person or even a couple, and some were even massive compared to other places we've stayed. The service was top-notch, with the staff going out of their way to make our stay special. The location was ideal, being central yet quiet, near trams, shops, cafes, and restaurants. The dining experience, although good, could have offered a bit more variety. Overall, a great value for the money.

The hotel is centrally located, featuring bright and spacious rooms with a funky design, in line with the Feng Shui theme. While the service was friendly, there's room for improvement in providing recommendations and amenities. The vibrant location, enriched with mosaic tiles, offers easy access to transportation and street food markets.

I was thrilled with the design of the rooms; they were such a step up from other places I've stayed, with bright orange furnishing and a circular bed. However, the room price surged during the Ed Sheeran concert in town. The hotel staff, especially at reception, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was fantastic. The location was unbeatable, right across from a famous food hall and close to the canal, restaurants, cafes, and key attractions. Dining lived up to my high expectations with a fair selection of dishes, but I wished there were more options. The facilities were top-notch, offering everything I needed during my stay.

The location was superb, central yet peaceful, near public transit stops and with a lovely roof terrace. The dining experience offered a variety of options, including the typical generous Scandinavian spread. Overall, a great value for money with wonderful amenities and facilities.
